tygerprints,

I can see where it's not just tempting but seems necessary sometimes, but all you're gonna do is bait the person into a useless bout of name calling back and forth.

tygerprints,

Actually I wrote that because I am not new to this stuff at all. Just kind of fed up with always getting called names just because sometimes I post things that arent the most popular view or are different ways of looking at things. I'm OK with people saying "I don't agree" if they can explain why without also adding "you idiot" or "you fucking idiot" onto the end. I try to be civil, but am always surprised how people respond with uncalled for name calling.

tygerprints,

Well - first of all, what does a "proper"orgasm mean? I think everyone orgasms kind of differently anyway (or uniquely). But I'd definitely rather have good hair and not orgasm by someone else's definition of properly. Probably nobody's going to judge the way you orgasm, but people definitely judge you by how good your hair looks (don't pretend they don't). I know, I was born with bad hair - thin, lots of cow licks, basically crazy hair.

Bald is OK if you can pull if off. I've rarely seen any guy who looks good bald, to be honest. Maybe Yule Brynner. But most men look dorky when they shave off their hair. And some of us would love to have that hair, could you send it to us so we can glue it on our scalps with Elmer's?

tygerprints,

That's true from what I've read. Baldness actually can result from too much testosterone, and often bald men are very "hung" also. And the same with men with very curly hair - the curliness is a sign of high levels of testosterone (I've read). I've also noticed it to be true in real life (as a gay male) - curlier hair usually also meant better hung for some reason.

tygerprints,

Your fake sympathy is misplaced and misguided, to no surprise. I'm not poor, and I'm not even all that interested in you or your comments. But, I have said I'm gay over and over again and I march in every Pride parade - it's hardly a secret, I'm very proud of who I am. If I seem high and mighty, it's only because I am. I am the great I am - I am the greatest person to ever exist!

tygerprints,

Greed is one the most powerful of all human emotions. There's nothing wrong with being greedy, what's wrong is trying to pretend you're not. We all are. Every human wants truckloads of cash and endless amounts of power. It's no good pretending you are "above that." If you're human, that's really what you ARE all about. I say we give everyone a gun and let the one who kills the most people have all the wealth. At least that would be an honest human accomplishment with no hypocrisy.

tygerprints,

You have a more practical and perhaps more economic based view of the situation, which I don't disagree with at all. It's just that I'm a much more nihilistic person in my beliefs, I personally (and this is ONLY an opinion) believe that all humans are intrinsically horrible and evil to the core. I've never seen any iota of goodness in anyone. So I cannot simply see it as a matter of how we're nurtured by our society but as a fundamental part of the disease of human psychosis.

tygerprints,

At least I'm not a scumbag like you are, and that alone makes me happier than you could ever hope to be. And now you are responding in the way that I like to see - I have brought out your worst side for all to see.

tygerprints,

I live in a world of utmost happiness, the likes of which you people cannot even imagine. I simply see the truth for what it is. Feel sorry all you want, but use that energy to improve your own circumstances. Mine are as perfect as could ever be possible.

I love that I make you mad and get under your skin, it keeps my practice sharp and my needles at the ready. You are easily manipulated.

tygerprints,

Thanks I'll take it! Well I don't actually work now that I have a trust fund but, I am going to take time off and go to the Caribbean over the holidays. I appreciate the good suggestion!

tygerprints,

I think all humans lust for power over others, to make them believe as they do, or worship as they do or some other way conform to their own way of behaving and thinking. Maybe it's a tribal thing, left over from when we were on the Savannah in "cave man" days, and needed to feel in control of our group (or something). I do believe some desire for power is an intrinsic part of human existence.

tygerprints,

I agree - humans cannot be trusted no matter who they are.

tygerprints, (edited )

Thus spake Zarathrustra. (if I spelled that wrong -well, I'm an American). I'd rather not hear any voices out of the void - this whole thing makes me shiver, recalling my lifelong fear of the black void of space and the movie "2001 A Space Odyssey." (Shudders).

tygerprints,

Exackly! I reconize your problem. Now I'm off to go buy some jewluhry.

tygerprints,

You're very lucky to live there. I lived for two years in Santa Cruz and felt like it was really my home. I was in a gay relationship (long term) and we moved to California mostly because he wanted to. But I fell in love with Santa Cruz, got a good job in San Jose and wanted to stay, but he eventually persuaded me into moving back to Utah - then years later, dumped me and left me here. >:( And I'm damn mad about it, but may get the opportunity to move soon. And I'll never come back to Utah under any circumstances.

tygerprints,

And many times it's my last step also. I'll just stay on the couch where it's safer.

tygerprints,

Whatever, to me it's just a fun news story, not a big deal at all.

tygerprints,

I wondered about that. When I was a film major in college (way back in 80s) we were using 16 mm cameras and actual film, and to correct for daylight (which has a lot of blue in it) we had to use an orange filter over the lens to make the colors more natural. So I'm sure there are ways to correct for the blueness in digitally shot movies. I just wish they'd use it!

Like the movie "Napoleon" that just came out. There's no way I'll watch it just because I hate that blue/grey aesthetic so much, it bleeds so much life out of things and leaves skin tones grey and skies always looking overcast. It's like being in a freezing cold place for two hours. No thanks!

tygerprints,

There is only one way that humanity will finally end - and yes, it will be by nuclear war. And it's not very far off at all. There is no other way that the fate of humanity can go. There is such a lack of human compassion and empathy and such a desire to cause hurt, it's just a matter of hours. So don't think it won't happen. There's no other possible outcome for us at this point, none whatsoever (unless an asteroid demolishes us first, that is).

Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong

I have come across a lot’s of people like these. like 99% of them. Sometimes it makes me think twice if what i am saying is wrong? What’s wrong with them. Is it so hard to swallow your pride and acknowledge that the other person is speaking facts? When they come to know they are wrong they proceed to insult/make fun of...

tygerprints,

That's also true. How can you not be defensive when someone's reply starts with, "listen here you stupid dumbfuck....." Of course that kind of name calling is going to result in a verbal fight. I don't know why we can't just say, "OK I disagree but here's why, and I hope you'll appreciate my feedback." Do we have to resort to calling each other juvenile names? A person isn't stupid just because they have a controversial point of view.

tygerprints,

Yeah but just don't get caught. Turns out teachers don't like having their classroom filled with fluffy seed spores.

tygerprints,

I could have made that clearer in my original post. I was really talking about educating future generations - rather than trying to take down the current regime.

tygerprints,

I know you were being sarcastic, so was I. My proposed solution to fascists is not to become one myself. I can ensure myself and my family don't stoop to such levels of corruption, I can fight back if I have to, I can vote them out of office - but really what else can one person do without becoming a fascist themselves. I don't close my eyes to the world I live in - I'm an avid news reader and follower of all news networks and a constant contributor to the guest editorial section of my local paper. I do voice my views and spread whatever small influence I may have.

tygerprints,

What I'm saying is in order to stop the future growth or rise of fascism, education is important. Letting kids read about the real history of oppression and violence is absolutely vital. I'm not delusional about the idea that the current fascists in office can be defeated with intellectualism - obviously that isn't going to work. Sometimes you do have to fight fire with fire. But I truly believe that in most instances, to have peace you have to prepare for peace, by nipping fascism in the bud through early education and open discussions.
