I prefffer to sacrifice a chicken to Cthulhu each dawn. Seems like the FSM will be far more tolerant if I get it wrong. By that logic, picking the Judeo-Christian god does kind of make sense.
Not to even mention that most social issues are exacerbated by our disgraceful economic inequity, but we’re only allowed to argue the symptoms, as our beloved society market capitalist economy is too perfect and sacred to change to Republicans and Neoliberals alike.
Abortions are often economic decisions, for example, and correctly so when you can’t afford to raise a child. If you want significantly fewer abortions, living wages, paid maternity leave, social supports etc would do that, as just 1 example.
I have long learned to accept that position that look “not resting” to us are actually resting because the majority of the body weight is nicely distributed on the floor unlike us two legged weirdos
I drink 50% regular water, 50% herbal teas. Never drank sodas, if you’re not used to them they taste far too sweet. I used to drink a lot of coffee, but I have quit caffeine completely, with 1 exception. I drink 1 cup of coffee the day after my night shifts, because this helps me feel ok that day. If you don’t drink coffee regularly you notice two things when you do: 1. it’s very very bitter. 2. the effect of caffeine is really quite strong. I feel like I’m on drugs that day. After quitting coffee I got a little bit bored with just water, I missed drinking something warm, so I started with herbal teas. I now have a large collection of herbs and I started to appreciate all these different tastes.
I’ve been reducing my sugar intake and recently fully quit caffeine. I was never big on sodas but I recently had one at a work lunch because it was the only option available and it was shocking how overly sweet it seemed
Shame on everyone in this thread that wants to have an argument about indoor v outdoor cats. 99 problems this isn’t one we need to pull out the torches for.
I’ve seen the stats on cats v birds, but I live in the country and there are feral and outdoor cats galore. I’ve literally never seen one even noticing birds except to chatter lazily at them.
But in every field there is at least one cat sitting patiently over a gopher/rodent hole waiting. Sometimes once they catch a rodent, a raven will come screaming down on them and they drop their snack and run away while the raven flies off with it.
Ravens on the other hand, love nothing more than fledgling song birds and eggs.
