If your only issue is that modern games suck, rather than A) Being too exhausted after work, B) Having social media-induced attention deficit, C) Being overwhelmed with other responsibilities or anxiety, or D) Simply just not having enough time, you just have to find games that are actually good. Not AAA grindfests that aim at keeping you glued to the screen getting collectibles for 80 hours, but games that are actually trying to provide you with a worthwhile experience.
Some suggestions: Subnautica, Outer Wilds (not The Outer Worlds), Disco Elysium, Pathologic 2 (mind you, this one is extremely stressful, it’s a masterpiece but most people will not enjoy it), The Forgotten City, Hades and Omori.
Thank you for this distinction! I’ve heard people rave about Outer Wilds and all this time thought they were talking about Outer Worlds, which surprised me because I thought Outer Worlds was boring. Taking a look at gameplay now!
Criminals usually have history from early adulthood or even earlier and they aren’t that smart. When a good man really snaps and goes on a “mission”, he’s really hard to catch.
I bring this up anytime someone’s opposed to common sense anti-violence laws, by reason of “That’s not hard to circumvent, criminals just won’t do this dumb thing”.
Criminals are often dumb. If they were smart, they’d quite often find ways to get ahead legally, or at the very least in ways that don’t disturb others’ peace of living.
This comic strip gives me a vibe something like: Maybe Hitler just showed us an example how bad a genocide would be. Im sure he is glad we dialled it down after him.
We just watched that one last night after a week and a half of dealing with heavy shit that still isn’t done yet. Not really the episode I would have chosen to dip the toes back in after trauma, but that’s what was up next. Still a great ep.
I love ar in flight sims, moving your head to move the camera view across the huge amount of instruments is so nice when youve got hands on the stick and throtle and both feet in the rudder pedals.
Depends on the sim. A good example would be Elite Dangerous. Buy the right HOTUS, put it in the right place, and when you don the headset, you see the controls you have.
This is exactly what I was looking at. What the hell is with that?
Guy probably could have purchased an entire office worth of chairs with the money he spent on all that gear… He didn’t even bother to get one decent chair?
On my very first watch of TNG, I was so annoyed the first couple of times I saw Lwaxana or Q dominate an episode, but by the end of the series I was cheering every time they showed up!
