phoneymouse, in [Spoilers] I bought my friend BG3 for Christmas and

Astarion was too annoying for me as well. Left him in camp the whole game.

RinseDrizzle,

Going for a more evil (maybe durge) run next to get more use out of Laez & Astarion. I’ve heard great things about both but didn’t hang much on the chaotic good run.

I never used Astarion, didn’t really care for him. So i got rid of him for something more useful (don’t want to spoil anything, and can’t figure out the spoiler tag on Boost)

That ending was great.

I'm unsure how to feel about this

Man, I’m just happy to see a skyclad reference in the wild, away from a metal dedicated community :)

Edit: also, this needs a playlist so that anyone not familiar with all the albums listed can enjoy the discovery :)

Rodneyck, in 'There's almost nobody left': CEO of Baldur's Gate 3 dev Swen Vincke says the D&D team he initially worked with is gone, due to Hasbro layoffs

Yup, sounds like a corporation, nothing shocking to see here.

MagicShel, in Baldur's Gate 3 tips and tricks for Honor Mode

When you are at the brain stem leading to the final fight if you have Gale in your party you can skip the entire final fight. Just send Gale up alone and he will confront the brain by himself leaving everyone else alive. This kills Gale so if he is your husbando you have a tough decision to make.

Tough decisions are for after you’ve gotten the golden d20. My current run though I’m mercenary as hell. I ate all the worms even the astral worm with gusto. I’ll be a mind flayer, murder Isobel, whatever. I might let the hag eat Vanya to have her as an ally in the final fight.

The only things I haven’t done are the ones that relied on dice rolls that I failed. I gave up the hag bonus the first time in favor of keeping Marina alive, but I also couldn’t think of a stat that could really benefit. I almost took it so that my charisma could stay 8 with the smuggler’s ring but ultimately decided that wasn’t worth letting Ethel have her.

I lucked out with the zathisk and book of Thay. Misclicks are the worst. “Hey bro, what’s up? Whoa! I didn’t mean to touch the carrot! [Deception] Oh I already had that on me. [Critical Failure].” A short combat later. “Fuck!”

Talk about a foregone conclusion…

Magrath, in Why can't I fastball special my halfling assassin?

I’ve been tossed pretty far on my druid by transforming to a cat and having my friends high strength character throw me.

Bread,

Now I don’t know how this works but if you can transform into animals, a bird would make more sense and forgo the tossing entirely.

Magrath,

I haven’t unlocked the bird transformation if there is one. Still in act 1.

I think it depends on how far you can be thrown. I can be thrown right now as far most characters can dash and it automatically takes you out of your transformation when you land, because the throw damages you and the cat only has 2 hp, so you don’t have to spend a bonus action to come out of it when you reach your destination.

CaptPretentious,

To become bird, your options are either an item or transmission wizard.

Bread,

If that is the case, then that is a rather smart play.

BrianTheeBiscuiteer, in Baldur's Gate 3 Stats Reveal Who the Most-Romanced Character Is and More - IGN

Wondering what the ideal romance with Shadowheart looks like. I picked her to hang out with at the first camp party but after that there was essentially no change in our relationship. Then when I finally got serious with Lae’zel she’s all, “I wish I was the reason you are so happy.” I mean, say something girl!

But 2nd playthrough, Karlach all the way.

MagicShel, in Missclicks in Honour Mode

I tried knocking Alfira out to protect her in my durge run. But I forgot to turn on non-lethal. So now I’ve murdered two bards…

No one to blame but myself.

teft, (edited ) in Jaheira just told me off and left my party at the very end of the game and idk why
@teft@startrek.website avatar

Did you kill Minsk instead of saving him and then didn’t talk to Jaheira before the final battle? Because that will do it.

Anticorp, (edited )

Yes. I didn’t even know I was supposed to save him. I made sure not to kill his little hamster though. Whoops! Mystery solved! I was kind of speed reading her statements in my last conversation with her. I guess I missed something. I was eager to tidy up loose ends and defeat the brain.

teft,
@teft@startrek.website avatar

Next time just make sure you have non lethal attacks toggled on. Then when you smack him with your sword you can talk to him after.

Anticorp,

Thank you.

zero_spelled_with_an_ecks, in What's your favorite fight to use the Iron Flask? And what's the "best" fight to use it, and what's the most ridiculously unhinged situation to use it?

I opened it without realizing what it would do in camp the first time. Unhinged: circus? Useful? I wonder how it would go in the last fight of act 2…

papalonian, in What's your favorite fight to use the Iron Flask? And what's the "best" fight to use it, and what's the most ridiculously unhinged situation to use it?

Never thought about using it during combat. I’ve always just popped the top when my co-op mates are looking for something to do.
