This used to actually be a trick for a certain kind of staffing agency.
Not sure if it’s still true, but when I was in my teens and twenties, there was a type of agency that would only place people they thought would have few other options once hired. They were known for trapping people kinda at the end of the line in positions where they had to eat a lot of shit, but the pay would be just a liiiittle too good tobup and quit.
They’d never hire you if you seemed put together. The trick was to have a small swig of something smelly–gin or bourbon–just before your interview.
That got me a couple of really nice paying forklift driving gigs. The trade-off was they were always for awful companies to work for long-term.
Maybe it’s the simplicity of the art style. Big round heads, small body’s, usually posed standing, everyone is same shape, dialogue focused comedy. I don’t know, I’m just spit balling here.
Edit: having a look at the website the comic is publishes you are right. Hell you’re even more right today since the last two comics are almost exactly same. Same characters, same positioning, same actions. The only difference is the dialogue and the facial expressions.
I imagine the artist has a bunch of stock art he just cuts and pasted in to the comic so he doesn’t have to redraw something he’s already drawn.
This reminds me once when little me was playing megaman. Then my mum came up, went straight to my videogame, turned the thing off without saying a word. I was like “Damn.” Never felt so helpless in my entire life.
It was also one of the few women in Garfield as well. I do agree though. Any interaction that Jon and Liz had usually resulted in Jon getting shot down. edit: a review of several different comics will show that a few dates turned out better than I remember.
Depending on the story arc, she does eventually fall in love with him and they get married. If the comic strips are the only thing that you consider canon, then no. Nothing more than a few dates.
I have a vague memory of Liz showing up somewhere in Garfield’s 9 Lives, but I no longer have a copy of that and I only lightly considered it canon.
Scientists curating religion? Grifter cults die, only vegan, wicca and Buddhism remains as religions, but everything is well-recorded and studied in its sunset.
Military curating education? “IM DOING MY PART!”
Military curating science? MOAR BOMMS
We could rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock the shit out of this. We could, but should we?

Conjecture, or did this happen? If it happened, where and when?
Might have to try that. I tried to open it up when I was thinking about getting an SSD for the laptop abd wanted to open it up to see if it has the needed slot, but I didn’t figure out how to.
yeah it stutters but i got it to playable framerate. (60-70 fps) (performance mods are pretty much REQUIRED, get sodium and like 50 other fabric performance mods, you’ll need all of 'em)
it has a 4 core 4 thread (no hyperthreading) 2ghz amd a6 and 6 gb of ddr3 ram, out of which ~4.5 is usable
also it has a terrible hdd which I don’t feel like replacing.
arch with gnome takes 2 minutes to boot, pop os with kde used to take around 5-6 minutes. (windows is painfully slow btw, around 10-30 minutes to cold boot, fast boot or hibernation is not that bad tho)
