The first time you walk towards this car, it’s like fucking ugly, hate this car. But when you enter the car it’s love. It has to smell decently like hubba bubba watermelon gum though, the old ones.
The magic ends, when you exit the car and close the door. Then it’s ugly again, disgusting even.
The difference is the medical definitions of cause and factor. Lack of breathing will cause death. Obesity from eating too much sugar is a factor. If it was a cause eating too much sugar would CAUSE it to happen every time. It does not.
Sure, carb intake is only one factor. It’s a very important one though. Obesity and inactivity contribute a great deal, along with genetics. In essence people develop tolerance to insulin because their bodies are flooded with it, in an attempt to metabolize excess carbohydrates. Insulin resistance means the insulin stops working as effectively, resulting in the body putting out more and more, which doesn’t work either, and resulting in chronic hyperglycemia. High body mass means the body has to put out more insulin to maintain a certain blood concentration. Exercise plays a role in glucose utilization, also. Over time, the islet cells get exhausted, too. Type 2 can to some extent be turned around with a low-carb diet and exercise, unlike Type 1.
My current apartment has some weird issue with tiny flies. When we viewed it there were millions of dead tiny flies on the floors. Figured it was just because the windows had been left open, but no, they’re still around. We’ve cleaned top to bottom and they’re still hanging around. Hella annoying.
Anyway, when a hair moves ever so slightly here, it’s always a bloody fly. Gods I wish we had a spider infestation instead.
Are they like fruit flies? This might sound strange, but wash the walls. Fly eggs will get laid on walls, so washing them off will make a decent impact. You’ll have to do it a couple times
To add to the other commenter about cleaning walls, clean your drains, like especially sink drains. There are flies that live specifically in drains. You also gotta nuke them for a while until it helps with drainflies.
You don't even need to nuke the drains. Just cover them up. I had drain flies coming out of my shower drain for weeks and couldn't figure out how to stop them initially. Read online to block the drain for a couple days when it's not in use. I just covered the drain with a sink plunger and they were gone.
Thanks, I’ve done this. Cleared all the drains several times, and the kitchen fan/sucky thing. That one was really gross so we thought might have been the source but alas.

The slow grooming of the Player teaching them about the moon powder followed by the game ending where you shoot the moon is a big fat core memory for me. I still get goosebumps. I’m not a hardcore gamer but it felt so awesome.
Dude I’m stupid and didn’t really pay attention to the moon dust stuff, but it’s ok because that game is so good, they frame that scene so well and have the moon just visible over GladOS’s shoulder (so to speak), I still realized exactly what I needed to do. Probably one of my favorite “ah-ha” moments in gaming.
