Man living in a 120 year old house means it’s always wall roulette any time you want to hang anything. Is that a brick, or is it fake mortar with the consistency of hummus. Who knows let’s find out
No, it’s “D”: The cable that goes to your lights in the kitchen two rooms farther but some idiot decided to run it through the walls taking the scenic route.
Funny, but mostly true due to timing. You have a lot more sunsets and sunrises outside of work and home than you do on holiday or with the time you are able to take out in nature.
Is this meme reporting live from Las Vegas, Nevada?
Because putting a stupid underground concrete bendy-straw full of manual-driving Teslas instead of…a subway system, and building like 8 more stadiums that shut down traffic and give us nothing but $600 concert tickets on Ticketmaster …is totally this city’s jam right now.
There’s a saying I’ve heard often, think it’s Chinese in origin, “Wealth lasts three generations”.
A friend’s explanation was the first generation makes the wealth, the second generation, seeing their parent’s hard work, maintains the wealth, but the third generation, only knowing privilege, wastes it.
But I’ve realized above a certain financial bracket this seems to not apply.
Pretty sure that’s illegal. You have to leave the back license plate visible. /s
On second thought, is that a license plate on the front? Where I’m from (in the US), it’s on the back, but there’s also a spot for one on the front where people like to put decorative plates (license plates, not fine china lmao…). Anyway, I never thought about why there’s a spot for one on the front. Do some places put the actual license plate in front? Do some people that here and I’ve just never noticed? Or do car manufacturers just put a holder there for people’s decorative ones?
If I sound like an idiot, it’s just because I’m young and I don’t drive. But now I’m curious lol.
I live in the U.S. as well, and I understand the confusion! It’s a law that’s regulated by each state, so some states (like Delaware) you only have to put a license plate on the back, and some states (like Maryland) require plates on front and back. And in Texas you have to also wear a license plate on your pants when walking in any city.
It’s mandatory everywhere in Europe (the plate looks Spanish I think), and in some US states.
Dunno which other countries don’t require a front plate, but it’s not very common. Some Asian countries even require a front plate on motorcycles, which is about as aerodynamic as you can imagine.
On cars tho I don’t get the obsession with removing the front plate, it’s fugly on 99% of cars because there’s a flat spot anyway. But in my experience Americans are very enthusiastic about their ugly front bumpers, so you do you I guess.
