Actual Unix users care. Maybe people that just jumped ship from Microsoft don’t, but I think that’s just because they don’t know what’s possible and how convenient it is.
Android really drew the short straw as far as file system support is concerned. No Ext4 (or anything else for that matter) , no windows filesystems… just plain fat (or exfat). Pityful.
As it was explained to me, it’s so that customers can feel superior to the workers that have to stand and suffer. People who can sit while they work aren’t really “working”.
