I also had the Alias 2. Great phone. Technically I still have it but it is inactivated.

I still have a flip phone. Nokia piece of shit on Verizon. Works well for voice but it's shit for anything else.

Question regarding ripping dvds (yes DVDs)

I know the majority opinion is not to do it for various reasons, but basically I started to backup the majority of my dvd collection that I created over the years since I have the time and they were just collecting dust. Turns out though I guess I’m doing it “wrong” or at least not in the original quality since I used...

No, $66 for one CD.

IDK what packs you're talking about. Blanks? CR-Rs?

Speaking of switched plugs, I remember switched wall plugs in N.Ireland many years ago when I was there. Seems like a great idea everywhere.

Interesting. Can you say more about what that is?

Reasonable strategy.

Mine is to carefully consider the need for "extras". But because prices are better and returns are easy I lean more towards purchasing than not. I am less inclined to purchase at other stores where prices are higher and returns nor complicated.

I'm sure there is a LOT of additional information about "what you can do", but here are some very simple starting points. You can do these today if you want.

  1. Only use Firefox with uBlock Origin installed/active for web browsing.
  2. Use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). https://protonvpn.com is considered one of the best.
  3. Turn off location services on your phone (this will probably be controversial but I think it makes a lot of sense).

Counseling can be done on a phone. I would suggest this over advice from internet randos.

There are some words that have fallen out of use that may be helpful. Overmorrow and score ( as in "...fourscore and seven...") come to mind. There may be others and I think it would be interesting to research.

Point being that English may have already solved this problem and forgotten the solutions.

Disney is gouging customers with a near doubling of subscription costs. (sh.itjust.works)

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.

Is physical media still available for most Disney stuff? How viable an alternative is that now?
