They literally look sloppy unless they feel a bit too tight. At least on me. I aim for about a 15% reduction in blood flow to my brain; then I know I’m looking sharp.
I’d change everything! Women’s fashion has so many different sewing techniques and styles - maybe 10% of those are in men’s fashion. Give men lettuce hems and dropped waists! Princess seams and tulip sleeves! Make fashion unisex!
Visiting my terminally ill father in hospital after he had a fall. I asked him what that huge bruise on his neck was, if it was from the fall.
"No, it's the cancer." Was the thing he said, and I'll never forget it. Crazy. Turns out the tumour was cutting off blood flow to his brain and causing him to pass out. He died a month later. Almost a year to that day now.
This one may not be so obvious, but I’ve seen someone lose their marbles over the crazy idea that they get recommended stuff for children when all they watch on YouTube is Minecraft videos and sometimes Roblox. And people in the comments agreed…
The YouTube subreddit wasn’t full of bright people.
I was close to deleting it. I’m also subbed to data hording and this is the opposite of what we do there. If someone is searching for something obscure as 3D printing issue on an Artillery 1, I rather it show up on lemmy, not reddit.
It does matter. They’re not going to profit off my submissions by injecting ads when someone searches for a solution. I’m not going to contribute to their financial gain.
It’s not lost data if it’s documented elsewhere. Download your data and delete everything.
Then encourage people repost it somewhere else. And Facebook also started out as only a social media company but now is integrated into so many aspects of our lives and in some countries the default messaging service.
So depending on the view deleting content is also for humanity to try and avoid the emergence of another data mining mega corp.
That information is what leads back to reddit and creates new users. And the more obscure the info the higher reddit results will pop up in searches. Search results even put less priority on even forums that contain information in favor of years old reddit results being promoted to the top.
If the goal is to cut off reddit and decrease its influence then deleting is the way forward. It is the one singular act that actually has an impact.
Eggs can be pasteurized- aka heated to kill off bacteria such as salmonella - without cooking them. From a quick Google, in the US and Japan it should be standard to make this dish with such eggs as to be safe to eat. I can’t speak to Brazil’s food safety standards though- the chances of using pasteurized eggs could be a lot lower, however if it’s a Japanese export/import, Japan takes such safety very seriously, so it’s likely to be safe.
I believe some comedian suggested to respond with a similar vulgar question about their sex life. I think that’s a fair point.
Tho you can always ask them if their first question to a stranger is a deeply personal one to get their own perversions fed. That way you are still on the high horse :)
My guess: Airsoft or paintball MilSim (Military-Simulation) operation. OP is a sniper. There is an ambush. Long-shot: re-enactment of The killing of Osama Bin Laden. OP's crush is there. OP's butthole is sore, so they want a few days of no toilets to allow their bottom to heal.
I once thought “Amazon refurbished” was a program by Amazon…
Turns out they just throw that label on random companies that refurbished on their own.
Bought a cellphone from one, they sent me the wrong phone model, and I paid for unlocked and they sent me one locked to a different carrier, then said that carrier was the most popular (it’s not) and they assumed it was what I wanted.
When I was complaining about that, they told me all I had to do was put it in a UPS drop box, explicitly told me I didn’t have to go to a store.
According to them, they never got the return.
I talked to Amazon, and their customer service just flat out lied and told me they could see the return was in transit.
Weeks later Amazon tried to charge me for the phone, and I had to do a charge back. Because apparently following the sellers instructions to put it in a drop off, meant I couldn’t prove I mailed it.
I have no idea if I was sent the wrong phone intentionally as a scam where they were always going to say they didn’t get the return, but it definitely felt like it by the end of it
