DrChickenbeer, in It was Donkey Kong Country (SNES) for me

That secret entrance behind a waterfall in the original Legend of Zelda meant that I've been checking every waterfall in every game I've ever played since 1986.

Hawk,

It’s just so disappointing when there’s NO secret behind the waterfall

[block element intensifies]

Don’t forget to block the invisible element that covers the whole screen. They add it after a few videos to try and stop video playback but any half tech savvy person would notice it.

It’s easy to spot. Prevents you from clicking and in the element picker, covers up the whole website.

It will still prevent you from scrolling. To shut THAT down you need to go fullscreen and back out. Pressing F twice is a fast way to do it.

Overall these are only temporary solutions. Keeping your adblock up to date (uBlock origin gets updated daily to combat YouTube’s shitty scripts) is the only foolproof way.

The brave search engine AI gave the following summary:

Peppa Pig’s height has been a topic of debate among fans and media outlets. Some sources claim that Peppa Pig is 7 feet 1 inch tall, while others claim that she is 3 feet 9 inches tall. However, the website for Peppa Pig World Online Toy Shop states that Peppa Pig’s height is 3 feet 9 inches or 1.1 meters. Peppa Pig’s parents, Daddy Pig and Mummy Pig, are much taller than Peppa and George, and some fans have calculated that they are at or over 11 feet tall. Peppa Pig has McBarney’s disorder in her fanon, which she inherited from Mummy Pig.

Well…

Cano,

Brave has an AI? Since when? Guess I’ve been living under a rock

EvokerKing,

It was added to the beta a few days ago and it’s called Leo.

Fuck Leo 🚨

yokonzo,

It’s been more than a few days, it’s had ai answers in the search results since I started using it a few months ago

sudo,

Don’t use brave. Shitty owner, shady company, selling your data and claiming privacy.

I couldn’t care less. Google does the same thing. There isn’t really much data about me anyone would care about. Their adblock is basically the only reason I use it (none of that crypto shit). The adblock has worked without fail where ublock origin and paid adblocks fail.

It also has never once had problems with for example, the pop ups on YouTube telling you to disable your adblocker.

x4740N,
@x4740N@lemmy.world avatar

Why are you using brave

en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brave_(web_b…

I have linked an older revision of the Wikipedia article as someone removed the controversies section in a later revision and it still hasn’t been amended

I find that Edit removong the controversies deceptive and in bad faith

I searched “McBarney’s disorder” and found the Peppa Pig Fanon Wiki. According to fanon, this is an incurable fatal disease that causes cannibalism and makes you act like you’re two years old.

There are 15K articles on this wiki. It’s 13 years old and has over 366K edits. And yet, their intro blurb on the main page is about 1/3 random letters because they couldn’t come up with 300 characters of text for it.

What the ever loving hell?

peopleproblems,

In “Sports Day”, she wore a ripped red fishnet dress with a black underskirt and dark purple skull necklace while Emily’s clique killed people. After that she wore a black dress with blood on it, dark purple fishnets, red chandelier necklace and dark purple apron with a grey underskirt.

I really hope that the LLMs in use today picked up this stuff.

That being said, I’m pretty glad my son will probably not be a fan of peppa anymore by the time he can read this article

Boy, I sure hope someone was fired for that blunder.

BURN, in It's just the most 100 recently saved songs. The fuck.

And since they removed my playlist radio, song discoverability has gone down so much. They just keep playing me the same damn music when I want related stuff.

Deuces,

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they got rid of playlist radio. It makes Spotify so much worse and I can’t imagine it saves them any money

BURN,

Probably some over complicated statistical model that will eek out cents more revenue per user.

It’s one of the worst changes they’ve made and it’s legitimately been making me take another look at all of their competitors.

ghostdoggtv,

Why does any corporation decide anything ever? It’s the money, Lebowski

DudeDudenson,

For the same reason all the streaming sites decided to gimp their discoverability and just force you into whatever the algorithm thinks you need.

Some middle manager wanted to justify their bonus so they jumped in the current fad

tslnox,

I don’t use any streaming service, instead YouTube Vanced or NewPipe when I want to make a queue… But I absolutely hate that the algorithm chooses whatever it wants no matter what you play, and it’s just randomly chosen out of one of the few songs I played before. Also I sometimes play the one+ hour long compilations either to sleep (Nemo’s Dreamscapes) or fantasy music and YouTube decided that auto play will always choose one of those after playing anything (rock, metal, country, folk, name it, it doesn’t matter)

Narrrz, in the girl you like

Me going into costco: I just need a rotisserie chicken for dinner.

Ten minutes later: I guess I do need a 50 gallon drum of mayonnaise.
