Kolanaki

@Kolanaki@yiffit.net

I’m just a weird, furry, pan guy (cis he/him). I also have a big, blue username.

Currently on Earth for 8 years ensuring steps to unite humanity and usher us into the galactic civilization just so I can see my boyfriend again.

I’d be concerned if this was a drumstick from the regular bucket, but for all I know it’s a hot wing drumstick. Those are always small.

Oh I think I know that one. Based on the previous comment, I thought it got sent into overdrive and was going hella fast that it may as well be a chainsaw lol

Escalators can never be temporarily out of order. They can only be temporarily stairs.

What search engine do you recommend that isn't Google or Bing?

I’m still trying to de-Google my life, little by little. I don’t trust Bing for similar reasons. DDG is feeling shady of late. What’s the search engine you all recommend that I can inject into my daily life? Is there perhaps a search engine that is focused on code, or have we just all moved on to AI for searching?...

I just make a post in NoStupidQuestions and use y’all like a search engine. :P

I remember a time during the height of PHPBB forums when they were called image macros and most of them were designed with the implicit purpose of triggering people. That’s where things like this bad boy came from:

I don’t necessarily want them bigger. I want them to have 12 legs and wings so there’s more of the good parts.

The original chicken sandwich is really the only thing good there.

I probably would have been here sooner had I known about it prior, but I came here because Reddit did a fucky-wucky and now the good apps don’t work. Though I had been getting sick of how many people were just awful there anyway and the only other place I had known about was Tumblr, which isn’t very condusive to conversation. When the announcement of the API shit happened, Lemmy kept getting mentioned (along with other sites) and it was the closest thing to Reddit that wasn’t Reddit.

It not being owned by a single entity is just a happy little bonus.

If your flakes come out gluey, you’re not using enough liquids to rehydrate it. I feel like everyone disagreeing here likes lumpy potatoes. One person already admit they don’t even remove the skin when they make theirs. Gross. They’re supposed to be smooth and creamy.

This is just a thesis…

Seriously, I don’t even know anymore what’s true with moss.

Grew up with that saying “moss grows heaviest on the north side of a tree” and then maybe in high school or in my early 20’s (there was definitely a sizeable period where tons of stuff I grew up being taught was being “um actually’d” as historians or scientists learned more) it was debunked.

But naturalists and park rangers and shit still say it’s semi true; moss does grow heavier to the north on particular trees, and other specific conditions. Which is just more confusing. 😵‍💫

The human project. The collective species. Where we are going as a whole. And having faith that it will take steps toward a better future instead of what is currently going on.

Gale is sus as fuck at first. He’s too charming. My first thought was “this dude’s hiding something…” and I mean… I was right. It just wasn’t about being evil. I never trust a character that’s immediately nice when everyone up to that point has been a jerk.

Slogan should be “put a cork in it.”

It also says

There are no real rules

And when this community first started getting traction, people asked for clarification and got told the same thing; there are no rules and that it didn’t even need to be a meme or shitpost.

The removals for bad behavior are one thing; but most of the removals in the modlog aren’t for that.

All prayers are being converted to “bring back Evel Knievel.” We really want him back.

When I was in high school, first time I ever got drunk at a party, I drove home afterwards and just lived 2 blocks away in a small town. I kept saying to myself “no wonder this is illegal” the 5 minutes it took to get home and never drove drunk again. The drunk effect in GTA4 is pretty spot on compared to that real life experience.

With how often I run into people who don’t even get super obvious jokes and take memes super seriously: It’s no surprise that the top comment in this thread says “most jokes aren’t funny and most comedians aren’t funny.” Nothing is funny when you lack a sense of humor.
