People need to get some perspective on plastic waste. I’ve seen no end of complaints about how my 3d printing hobby is responsible for climate change… In my country, we produce >200 kg of plastic per capita. My 1kg spool of vegetable-derived plastic is not to blame for passing 3°.

The sleep mask looks like the obvious bet. Have you ever been awake for 20 hours straight? It’s not debilitating, but after about 18 I start getting woozy. I’m gonna go with it anyway, because even if I take the penny and win the lottery, the one thing money can’t buy is time

Incel as a term describes something much more specific than “virgin (but they don’t want to be).” That may be the literal meaning of the words, but like, we all know that the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea is not democratic, people’s, or a republic.

Incel, the way it’s typically used, describes a particular type of person who’s embittered by their long-lasting virginity, and because of that, views most or all members of the opposite sex as lesser than them, believing that they’re in some way owed sex, and have been denied that ‘right.’

Libertarian (sticker placed over republican views), or democrat who doesn’t do anything but at least he isn’t a republican

Old white dude who says all races matter, or old black lady who says diversity is good

Dude who enlisted in the army after 9/11 and thinks we need more cops in schools, or literally anyone else

It’s always high school. Always has been, always will be. After generations of learning how to interact with each other in romantic contexts from media, what do you expect? Especially when we spend our formative years watching media that’s written to appeal to people in their formative years, you end up with a lot of people acting like poorly written characters because that’s how they learned to interact with each other.

Not to say that our generation is worse than previous generations, of course. Back then dudes didn’t know how to not hit their wives. Now we just don’t know how to talk. A marked improvement, I’d say
