If you score 100 on a test then that’s a perfect, therefore 100 is the perfect temperature.

VinnieFarsheds,
@VinnieFarsheds@lemmy.world avatar

💯

FlyingSquid,
@FlyingSquid@lemmy.world avatar

And if you score 51 you pass, so 51 is the passing temperature.

SirStreq,

51 would not be a passing grade in most of the US

KrankyKong,

Im confused as to where 51 would be a passing grade anywhere.

fallingcats,

Places where they make the tests harder

KrankyKong,

Wouldn’t lowering the goal post make the test easier to pass?

fallingcats,

Not if the questions simultaneously increase in difficulty

OceanSoap,

In Phoenix, can confirm, 100°F dry heat is pretty awesome

thefluffiest, in Bonjour, je m'appelle Jesus

That’s the Dutch 🇳🇱 flag, not the French 🇫🇷 one

Tikiporch,

From Jesuis perspective, it’s le French.

isthingoneventhis,

I mean… it’s kinda both when you look at it 👀

TheJims,

Ohhh now it makes perfect sense

thecrotch, in Bonjour, je m'appelle Jesus

Can Jesus really shoot rays of emotion out of his belly like a common care bear?

Nerorero, in German Art
@Nerorero@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

He wasn’t german and I don’t think you’re german. Germans usually know a lot about ww2…

768,

German education doesn’t actually tell you much about the Second World War and more about the Shoa and the implications of the ideology of National Socialism. Less about military strategy (like Operation Market Garden etc), more about gas chambers and death camps, deportation logistics, systematic dehumanisation. Exceptions are analysis of speeches.

UnfortunateShort,

What does tell you a lot about WW2 are late night TV documentaries on N24 tho (I think they were bought and rebranded?)

Nerorero,
@Nerorero@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

I learned everything, but went to school for more than the required 9 years…

768,

GeschichtsLK und ihr habt Militärgeschichte gehabt? Da muss die Lehrkraft ja ein Interesse daran gehabt gaben…

Nerorero,
@Nerorero@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

wieson,

That would be implying that only learning about battles is “learning about the 2nd ww”. And it would deny that learning about society, policy and civilian suffering is part of learning about the war.

I disagree with that.

empireOfLove2, in Suspension with program stabilization
@empireOfLove2@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

most of those desert baja trophy trucks don’t even use active suspension at all. they’re just super soft, heavily damped, extra long travel arms carefully tuned to the trucks’ weight and power. mechanical engineer’s wet dream

explodIng_lIme,

Looking at it might be a wet dream, trying to set it up would be a nightmare. Control systems haunt me in my sleep

Aux,

Yeah, people greatly underestimate mechanical suspensions.

expatriado,

wouldn’t heavily damped make it slow to react?

satans_crackpipe, in Merry ChristmaX

I would be pissed if I got a 10/100 catalyst switch too.

HiddenLayer5,
@HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml avatar

It’s not Santa’s fault, he’s thousands of years old so he probably had his IT stack built out ages ago and never bothered to consider upgrades so he just assumed that 10/100 was still state of the art!

BeardedGingerWonder,

He’s probably using cloud services, makes sense, why build out infra he’ll have to manage 365 when he basically needs it 2 months a year?

HiddenLayer5,
@HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml avatar

Wonder if he uses Amazon Glacier

BeardedGingerWonder,

Anyone got any idea on data retention requirements for Lapland?

ChickenLadyLovesLife,

Aha, that’s why I never get what I want for Christmas: classic ASP.

HiddenLayer5,
@HiddenLayer5@lemmy.ml avatar

You might end up with an asp instead!

LordOfTheChia, in Task failed successfully?

If you’re asking who’d put rice with ketchup - my sister used to put ketchup on her popcorn. Microwave popcorn. Pre-buttered.

KreekyBonez,

Brekky,

That was a difficult up vote because my thumb was just so disgusted with your sister
