As it’s name implies, it’s a crime. As such it’s not legitimate but it’s also not a sin. It’s up to each individual and his morality to decide if he wants to be a criminal or not and it’s up to the society to stop criminal behaviors that have negative impact on it as a whole.

RaspberryPi becoming unresponsive at random intervals

Issue Description: I have been having this issue with my raspberry pi running dietPi where it seems to lock up and I cannot SSH / access any of the services on it. The interesting part is that the interface seems to be up and I can still ping it on the local network but shows no video output. usually I get about 3-6 days before...

ExLisper,

Yeah, I had the same issue. Sometimes it was the SD card, sometimes the network interface (not your case obviously), sometimes things connected to USB, sometimes it was running hot… I gave up and now I just run everything on an older Slimbook Zero. Yes, power consumption is higher (still pretty low) but so is stability.

ExLisper,

Come on people, it’s funny. Blind chicken and everything.

ExLisper,

Sorry, I used the term “fad” to make a pun on X flaws being a ‘FUD’ (haha). It’s not a fad in the sense that it will soon disappear. What I meant is that the excitement around it is not funded in actual benefits and it just recently became fashionable to support it.

1.6% of gamers use Linux. 25% of developers use Linux. Typical tech enthusiast is not gamer. Just because in your bubble people use VRR doesn’t mean it’s important to majority of users. Most Linux users don’t care.

ExLisper,

This sounds really cool. I don’t see any documentation for libcosmic. Are you planning to promote it as an alternative toolkit for building desktop apps or do you see it more as an internal tool strictly for COSMIC DE development?

ExLisper,

Sadly only the tiny part actually interacting with foreigners online realize this and even they react with anger.

ExLisper,

The fascist parties that want to stop immigrants on the borders? Remind me who was the previous president in US and who’s controlling the house now…

ExLisper,

Move to Spain. Every apartment has a bidet here. It’s as normalized as a jam stand in your kitchen.

Did you mean chickens?

ExLisper,

I thought matrix was going to school and getting unplugged was graduating.

ExLisper,

Ups, thanks. Totally missed that.

ExLisper,

You made the exactly same false equivalence between gods and computer simulations. That was my point.

"We know simulations can exist, since we simulate things, so it stands to reason that since simulations exists on earth that it could exist somewhere else. Nothing about simulations conceptually requires anything that we don’t already have a scientific method for. "

Simulating entire world only requites different computational scale which we also know is possible because we keep improving our computational capabilities.

So you’re working on your machine learning projects in Zig?

There’s a company claiming that they analyzed rests of garum found in some ancient vase and reconstructed the recipe. You can now buy Garum supposedly same as the Roman one. www.amazon.com/…/B07CRMQZP5

ExLisper,

Not if the author finds and destroys it.

ExLisper,

Because tree falling in forest doesn’t make a sound or something like that. You ever only hear about the ones that are promoted for clicks on the internet. I’m sure the are hundredths of grandpas that texted the wrong person, became friends and never bragged about it on Instagram.

ExLisper,

I’ve heard it’s just before the last one.
