Varyk,

Have to start somewhere, and starting with ubi is a lot better then the crooked system in place now.

Not when you factor in the productivity and social harmony of a healthy citizen population.

I’d say if you aren’t on them and don’t need them, there’s no reason to dip your toe in.

It’s okay to be a little weird and save tons of time and not have to read worthless comments.

I was part of the main ones, but got rid of everything, LinkedIn Facebook, all of it. They are useless or detrimental personally, and I don’t need them for my job.

This is the extent of my social media now.

Varyk,

I don’t know about its origin, but as far as I understand people using the phrase, I think they just mean the potential for someone to do good regardless of the circumstances or consequences.

Faith in the character of every human to do good and achieve things.

Not metaphysical.

If you don’t have faith in humanity, it means you are cynical and you expect humans to take advantage of situations and act selfishly.

Varyk,

You are frequenting an incredibly select number of communities.

Also, discussions tend to be more respectful here than on low bars like reddit, so crutches like swearing don’t come into play as much.

In my case, my f****** speech to text won’t f****** write out the c*** d*** c*** swear words, which I think is hilarious.

Varyk,

That’s called euphonics, and I agree

Varyk,

By offering mutual support? Seems good.

Varyk,

This is how I needed this dilemma explained to me.

Varyk,

Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. That’s the only way to become what you were meant to be.

Varyk,

I like the absence of cumulative fake internet points. I do think it lends a healthier perspective to the community

Varyk,

To protect your head in battle, please wear a helmet. Fucking ASSholes.

Pretending they know I have a head.

Varyk,

That’s literally their backstory in the novel afair.

Varyk,

As the old saying goes, “power corrupts, and since cops are bullies and already pretty stupid , they get corrupted faster.”

Varyk,

How bad must his long hair be that he chooses that hairstyle?

Varyk,

Oh really? That’s a creepy trail I’m disinclined to look into.

Can’t stop myself. Of course he idolizes Caesar, the ultimate end justifies the means character.

Not the same path you’re taking, mark.

It’s like Ben Shapiro watching a Chomsky lecture and thinking “this guy talks words. I talk words too! We’re basically the same.”
