Sometimes I talk to the ghost and I am always disappointed when it doesn’t talk back. My days of being scared of ghosts are over now I just want to talk to someone who sees me as a person instead of a lower being.
The problem these days is everyone is self centered and unwilling to work hard. I see lots of complaints about how the world has been unfair but in reality we are unfair to each other.
People have been saying that same dumbass shit for thousands of years, here’s idiotic headlines from the last 150 showing you that every generation has said the same damn thing, and has been wrong every time:
The problem these days is everyone is self centered and unwilling to work hard
[…]
but in reality we are unfair to each other.
The last part of your sentence is correct. So maybe the reason everyone is “unwilling” to work is actually because they are unwilling to be exploited. Considering how capitalism utterly failed to regulate the market and wages are still piss poor despite every CEO and their henchmen crying about the labour shortage, when according to capitalist theory the solution should have been to immediately raise wages as the low supply and high demand of labour necessitates higher prices. That’s the excuse they give us when they jack up the prices on food and basic supplies yet they reject the same logic when applied to workers.
That's nothing new. Aside from resistance (vaguely the same mechanism as antibiotic resistance), some chemotherapy regimens could end up causing other forms of cancer - after all, fucking with DNA is what a lot of it does.
When I was stationed in the UK, we were warned not to use private driveways to turn around our cars.
They said the residents don’t take kindly to having their driveways disturbed and might raise hell, chasing the car with whatever they could grab (allegedly this had happened many times).
Ach away and shite. If I see a driveway with a sign saying “no turning”, I’ll fucking turn there even if I’m going the right way. Then look for another
I think they were just pointing out that isn’t a U turn. They called it a Y turn, many people I know would call it a 3 point turn. They were being pedantic for comic relief but it didn’t go over as well as expected.
They sure do. That takes 10-20 years and in the meantime many patients experience an increased quality of life rather than a horrible death. I hope someday we develop a better method and I expect that doctors of the future will view this practice as barbaric, but at the moment it’s the best we got and better than nothing.
