In my country, squared paper notebooks are usually green, lined red and blank blue. It’s been like that for decades. So math is green.

It got a little out of hand with the original movies. Despite everyone wearing red jackets, their collars had colors based on their departments. There were seven in total at that time:

  • Red = Trainee
  • Light Green = Medical
  • Dark Green = Security
  • Yellow = Engineering
  • Blue = Special Services
  • Gray = Science
  • White = Command
